Why is it the "enable pointer shadow" becomes unchecked in the mouse settings
all by itself every time I reboot, hibernate or go into sleep mode?

I can't figure it out and it's one of those little things I must know the
answer to.

I have "show pointer shadow" checked in the advanced system settings.

Vista seems to have this issue with personal settings reverting to default
for no apparent reason sometimes, like in the explorer window.

Romanom,

It sounds to me like you have some additional software installed for
your mouse that changes the settings back to default once you reboot or come
out of sleep or hibernation. Did you use a CD or DVD to install your mouse or
did your mouse come with your system?

Have a nice day.

Sorry, I should have mentioned what mouse and driver I have!

It's a MS Optical Comfort 3000 and with the Intellipoint 6.2, which is the
latest driver.

My graphics is Intel 965 (GME) with the latest 15.7.3 drivers.

OS: Vista Home Premium

Thanks
