Popping sound with Vista

I have Vista Home Premium OEMAct on my HP pavilion 6500 laptop, an
everytime I am clicking a selection with my cursor, there is a poppin
sound, as if I was chosing a wrong command!!

Can you help to get rid of that sound

Control Panel/Sound applet/Sound tab, locate the event and change the sound
(or turn it off).
