I hope someone can help me. I downloaded and installed SP2 but the popup
blocker doesn't seem to be working, I have it set on the highest level and
when I'm in a website I get a whole bunch of popups mostly regarding what web
page I'm looking into. I thought when you have a popup blocker it would get
rid of all that other garbage I don't want to see because it just slows me
down and makes me not even want to go on the internet. Does anybody else
have this problem?? How can I fix this??

proxomitron (free 'timeless' app, fast loading) blocks all kinds of trash incl popups.

someone else might suggest you check the 'messenger' program, but you say you're seeing site related popups, while *i think*
messenger type "popups" are usually from random sources. i've never had problems with popups and rarely any problem with
other net-trash since using the good freeware defenses available.

Hi

The pop-up blocker in WinXP SP2 will not stop all types of pop-ups,
e.g. Flash pop-ups is not stopped I think.
