I read through the posts and attempted the repair noted in previous posts
which included the removal of Hot Fix KB842773 (using Add/Remove programs)
and downloading it from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
.. I then installed it and rebooted. I did this several times, but it did
not work. The cure for me turned out going through some of the SP2
descriptive sites and turning ON the Windows firewall protection. Once it
went on, everything started to work and is so far working fine.
