Is it possible to make a restore point I created permenant?

If for some reason in a month or so I wanted to restore to my own point, can I? I know restore saves
all the time but I don't want one that I create to be over written.

What you want is a "Complete PC Backup" It takes a second hard drive, or
many DVD's, and some edition of Vista above Home Basic. System restore
cannot do that alone, it needs backup software.
