2 years ago.... at Redmond USA

-Longhorn will never be ready in time.. we just have too many innovations in
it and we are lousy programmers.. remember we are good at copying and buying
other technology, not building it from scratch...

- OK OK.. we have to make the decisions NOW before its too late. I say we
release a version of windows with SOME of the things we have been working
on, even if its not ready and buggy, we will send them a service pack after
its released. That way we will start getting the cash flow.. that we need
after 5 years of doing nothing... Lets called this crappy OS, VISTA!

-Ok lets give them a crappy version called Vista, But what about the real
OS?? will we ditch all that work???

-OF COURSE NOT!!! We will keep working on it in secrecy.. we cant tell the
public anything because they might want to wait for the real thing...
We will LIE to them that VISTA is the real thing.. so that they will go and
buy it!
Then after a year.. we will release the REAL one...! And that means even
more revenue!
I even have a NAME for it.... a code name that is... OMINGO!

- FANTASTIC IDEA! OMINGO IT IS!

P.S

Read about Omingo here >

Actually it has been over 21 years that some unnamed "team" has been
working in secret on a version of Windows to gets the bugs out. They
haven't succeeded yet, don't hold your breath. Bill Gates is actually
hoping Apple makes more breakthroughs so he can "borrow" their ideas
just like he did for the original Windows.

But wait, don't feel sorry for Apple. Both Bill and Steve Jobs stole
their concept of the Mac and Windows from a company called Xerox.
Remember them? They've had a rough time the last decade or so.

The only thing half way original Microsoft ever developed for Windows
was BOB. Those silly cartoon characters everyone laughed at. Why did
somebody known for his marketing skills more than his claimed computer
skills support such a silly project in the first place? Well that's
easy. You see the product manager of the BOB project Miss French, just
happened to be Melinda French, the girl Bill Gates ended up getting
married to. So as they say, now you have the rest of the BOB story.

What's that, you don't know about the history between Gates and Jobs?

There was a movie called Pirates of Silicon Valley. Fanboys shouldn't
watch it unless they get a note from their doctor first or they might
have an heart attack or stroke. If your dare, there's a lot of clips
on Youtube like this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im589uTchKs

Oh my God! Well is everything in this movie 100% true? No of course
not it is just a movie, but one based on facts with some extra drama
thrown in for effect.

Want to learn more about your heroes, fanboys?

I doubt many fanboy will want to, after all they don't like the truth,
they prefer to live in fantasy land.

Everyone should read the book *Fire in the Valley* for an accurate account
of much of the start up period of early computers, then the interactions of
IBM, MSFT, Apple. It's in paperback.
