Possible Solution for 0x800A01AD + 0x800A01AE - reinstall IE

I have Windows xp sp1 with some sp2 updates and I got the above error
messages. However, upon try to fix another internet problem by ticking IE (or
uninstalling and reinstalling it) and adding another network features -
Simple TCP/IP Services, I discovered it had fixed both my problems.

The error 0x800A01AD will occur if Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service
Pack 4 (SP4) is not installed or if MSXML program files are incorrectly
registered. To rectify this problem follow the knowledge base article given

Hi

That KB article should be updated with the information that you should
not install "MSXML 3.0 SP4" on a Windows XP SP2 computer, because SP2
comes with a newer version of MSXML than the one in that download link.
It might not harm anything installing it, but it will not help on
anything either.
