I tried literally everything suggested with no luck. Then I turned off my
web accelerator for some reason or another. I now have no problems at all.
Everytime I use any microsoft website whether it is for office, or update,
etc. I just turn off the accelerator. So, if you have one, try turning it
off and then open windows update. I noticed that with mine, I had to turn it
off first and then open my browser for update to work. Hope that helps
