Hi,

I heard is is possible under some circumstances to swap a Vista
licence back to an XP licence and would like to investigate if it is
possible for me to do this.

My reasons are the poor networking performance of Vista cf XP and also
the fact that none of the MS development systems I am using (VS6 and
VS2003.NET) will run on Vista.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Mike

If you used an update version of Vista, you're SOL and will have to buy
a new license. It's called Microsoft's "double dip" into your pocket.

Temper, temper little man, you're going to stroke out some day if you
can't get your violent temper under control.

See Frank, I'm really your friend, trying to warn you about your
self-destructive personality that sooner or later will lead to your
demise. Maybe you need a new hobby. Try basket weaving, or knitting,
so you mellow out. You could also try Yoga and pal cut way back on
your caffeine intake. Chill man, chill. Your strung so tight you're
going to pop sooner or later if you continue acting like you do.

Some OEMs have that downgrade option in place for Business and above, but not
MS!
Contact the computer Manufacturer.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. That does seem to explain the situatio pretty
clearly. My problem is that I want to run XP64 and my only licenced
media is XP32. Is there any way around this do you know or do I just
have to go out and buy another copy of XP ?

Thanks,

Mike
