Cracked it...
After SP2 install - one problem was: not being able to open the Restore
Point or the Restore Point Program - where I kept getting: The procedure
entry RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located in the
dynamic link library winsta.dll.
From all that I have read, SP2 sets a restore point of its own, probably
changing [or corrupting] the winsta.dll
I tried downloading a clean version, but couldn’t find it for download…!
I then searched my box to find several, and copied an older version into:
Windows/system32/restore [having kept the old one of course] and Hey VoilĂ* …
Restore Point; is now back up and running as if nothing ever happened…!!!
Yea - u can call me wiz…!
All I gotta do now is work out why I keep dropping my connection! or worse
still; why when I click on a link, explorer or outlook can't find an open
connection which should apparently be there...?
