Power Options and Hard Drive

I am using Vista Home Premium on a desktop computer. I am still trying to
learn my way around Vista.

My Power Plan was set at installation to "Balanced". It turns off the hard
drive after 20 minutes of inactivity. What does "inactivity" mean in this
instance? Does it mean the hard drive is not accessed for 20 minutes?

Thanks.

Spencer

Spencer,

Yes, usually when the computer is sitting idle without accessing the
hard drive for anything.
