Power Options Problem

When I open "Power Options," I cannot find "Choose what closing the lid does"
option among the options on the left side of the window. All my friends have
it. I'm sure Vista has it. But why can't I see it on mine.
Reaaly looking forward to some help here.

- Open "Control Panel
- Click "System And Maintenance
- Click "Power Options
- Click "Change plan settings" for your selected pla
- Click "Change advanced power settings
- In the "Power Options" window that opens, expand the entry fo
"Power buttons and lid" (it should be the 6th item in the list
- The setting you want should be there. If not, then you're likel
working on a desktop (or Vista thinks you are)..

Click on <Change plan Settings> for the selected preferred plan and the
click on <Change advanced power settings>. You should find it fro
there

In addition to the above suggestions, sometimes there will be a setting in
the BIOS that you need to change to get certain options to show on the menu.
Check the Power Management settings (ACPI etc.) in the BIOS. The two are
buddies and work together.

Look in the manual that came with your computer or motherboard.
