power saving settings

hi
anyone no how to disable the power saving settings ?
i'm running vista 64bit h/p

1. Click Start, All Programs, and then right click on "Command Prompt".
2. From the context menu click on "Run as administrator".
3. If User Account Control prompts you to allow the action, click on
Continue.
4. In the command prompt window, type "powercfg -h off" (or "on" without the
quotes) followed by Enter button.
4. Close the Command Prompt

For future reference, this only disables hibernation. To disable all power
saving features, one should switch to the "High performance" power plan or
customize it further if they so choose.

To disable all power saving features, click on the Power icon in your
notification area and select "High performance", or perform the following:

1. Click on Start, and then click on Control Panel.
2. Click on System and Maintenance, and then click on Power Options.
3. Set the active power plan to "High performance".
4. Close the Control Panel window.
