After I installed SP1 for my Vista Ultimate - PowerPoint always returns an
error after closing indicating that PowerPoint has stopped working and
Microsoft is searching for a solution. Does anyone have a solution to this
annoyance?

Control Panel, Programs and features, rightclick the line for PowerPoint (or
office), and 'repair'

I have already tried that and it did not solve the problem. I did it again a
few minutes agao - with no resolution. BTW - you may want to amend the
instructions to indicate 'change", then 'repair'....
