My dad has managed to save the default settings for powerpoint on my PC to
Notepad. I now, cannot open any powerpoint (pps) slides or presentations
attached to e-mails or ones which have been saved in powerpoint on my PC. He
has stated that he tried to save my sons powerpoint homework in different
formats in Word and then in Notepad! I have MS Vista as my OS at home and am
now getting very frustrated as I cannot seem to change the defaut settings
back from Notepad to MS Powerpoint 2007. HELP>>>>>>>>

find a powerpoint file in explorer; right click and choose open with. I f
powerpoint is listed in recommended programs then select it and also insure
always use this program selected check box. If not listed click down arrow on
other programs and select powerpoint there. Same rules as above; for
checkbox. And if not in other programs use browse button; locate powerpoint;
and again choose the always use this program.

Hope this helps
