The start menu no longer comes up when we sign on to the computer. We get
errors - "C;\windows\system 32\Powrprof.dll...reinstall...", "Windows
explorer has sotpped working" and "SQM Cconsolidatror" has stopped working"

any ideas??

If you can perform an F8 Safe Mode run a full Virus scan and a check disk
and then try a normal boot again.
