PQPBSUPDATE ON LOG IN

Hi there i have a dell with vista home premium and have come across this on
mine and a friends dell machine

i have my user account and another called PQPBSUPDATE i dont know where this
has come from and my password will not work on it

did a google search and got linked to some greek site with a lad saying it
is on his and he could not find a fix for it either

please help

What type of account is this, Administrator, Standard, or...?

Have you looked in Windows Explorer under C:\Users for a folder with that
name? The files in that folder may give us a clue as to where this account
came from.

It really sounds like a program that was installed created this account that
is used to update that software?

Also check the installed programs list in Control Panel/Programs and
Features to see anything associated with the initials PQ or PBS or.....?

Doing a search on Google, all I come up with is the message you posted?

Let us know what you find so we can document the information.

only ine account in windows explorer

mine plus one that says public

i think it is a admin account as it says so when i click on the picture on
start menu

did a local search nothing

nothing in programmes either

as i said my friend has it on his aswell although i must admit when i fired
it up last night it had gone but now has come back !!!!

The only advice I can give since there is no information available for this,
is to contact Dell and see if they can identify the program that created the
user account.
