Just as in Vista, I'm pretty sure both 32-bit & 64-bit will be on the same
Windows disk.

Both 32 and 64 bit versions are included. The half price pre-order
sale is for upgrade versions of Home Premium, and Professional
only. Ultimate and full versions are full price.

Except in Europe, where the full standalone version of Home Premium (and
Professional, but not any of the others) is available at a much reduced
price until the end of the year.

Of course, we in the EU get a version without IE, thanks to a potty ruling
by the EU executive. I wonder if anyone has worked out how to download the
downloadable version of IE (or firefox or whatever). :-)

No. The 32-bit and 64-bit versions have to be on separate DVDs because of
differences in hardware driver support, not because of licensing. Each disk
includes multiple versions (Home..., Ultimate), but we can't boot into
32-bit and install any 64-bit operating system from that desktop.

Vista Ultimate comes with two DVD-ROMs in one package with one Product Key.
The owner can use the one PK with either the 32-bit or the 64-bit disk.
Versions other than Ultimate come with a single DVD; if the buyer wants both
bit-versions, he must order the second disk separately.

Unfortunately, Jay, the Microsoft Store pre-order page (
http://store.microsoft.com/microsoft...7/category/102 )
answers most questions, but ignores this one. :>(

If I read this right, the only difference between professional and ultimate
is bitlocker and 35 languages?
