Hello
Is there a way to make Vista smartly select between various types o
network access? I'm using both WLAN at home (2K cable) and an in-buil
3G connection (380M) at workplace and on the road
Both work fine, but I'd like to make Vista select the fastest possibl
access. As it is, it always prefers the slower 3G cellular access, eve
though I haven't marked it as primary or preferred or anything
That is, when I boot the machine at home, it first acquires the WLA
and starts D/L:ling via it, but invariably as it also acquires the 3
connection some 30 seconds later, it switches to using it. It shows bot
connections as connected, but only downloads at like 3-4kilobytes
second
I must manually switch off the 3G access to force it to use WLAN only
and get over tenfold access speeds. And even then, if I for instanc
type the address wrong, it assumes I'm offline because it won't load
and automatically spawns the 3G access, resulting in slower speed
Seems stupid it only wants to use the 3G network, so is there any wa
to make it smarter in selecting the networks, i.e. select the fastes
one available at all times
Cheers
