Frustrated. I'm backing up important files in Documents and Settings by
copying them to CDs on drive D: There are basically three users whom I am
protecting. My wife and I are both administrators on our machine; the third
party is not.
When I am in my own desktop and try to copy my files, the copy utility says
that I may not copy to a sub folder of the folder that I'm in. Why, or when
is the D: drive a subfolder of one on C:?
I can copy the thrid party's file with no problem.
So I figure that I would be able to copy from my wife's files but the system
will not give me access. Note that my files can be accessed from her desk
top. Why can one administrator do it but the other one can't?
O.K. I use my wifes desk top to access my files and copy them. Try that and
am asked to sign in with a NET. Passpot! Wasn't asked that when working on
my desk top. If I cancel that request the copy aborts. @%$#&%^^
How can I easily copy the separate Documents and Setting folder out to a D:
CD?
