So i wanted to format my pc like ive down millions of times before so
put the vista dvd in

Restart pc then the, "press any key to boot from cd/dvd" screen come
up, i press a ke

Then it repeats the "press any key to boot from cd/dvd" right under th
previous on

O_O so whats going on?

ive tried pressing again on the second prompt and the computer jus
freezes there it doesnt load windows from the dvd. Also i thought mayb
if i dont press key again on second prompt then it would load, but no
it loads the os on the hard drive

So y wont the pc load the dvd? :

Hi,

Offhand I'd say the fault lies in either a damaged optical drive or dirty
disk.

Could also be that your keyboard is not yet active. Sometimes
depending on bios settings a USB keyboard may lag in becoming active.
If it isn't active then pushing a key will not register. A way to tell
is if you have indicator lights for caps lock or num lock is to press
these keys and see if there is a response..
