I have my VSS Service set to manual, should this be set to Automatic i

Hi,

That could be it - check to see if you have any system restore points.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...store-how.html

If not , you need to set VSS service to Automatic - also check
Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider service is set to Automatic.

Hope this helps

Click the middle icon at top right of this post if it has helped -

Why don't you just set it to Automatic, then Start it and see for
yourself?

Hey...thanks for the replies

I have set both services to Automatic and Started them, changed a fe
files and still get "No previous versions available"

I may leave it for a few days after some restore points have been mad
and see if anything comes up then

I just read that guide you posted SIW2 and it solved the problem.

I had the TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service disabled, after turning it on
noticed Previous versions again

Thanks for your help

That would be a coincidence. That is a networking service, and I cannot see
how it could have anything to do with shadow copies.

Hi, I'm using Vista Ultimate. I can't browse my previous restore files.
All services are as should be and I can browse using shadow explorer. I
don't know what is going on. Can someone help me?
