Previous Windows Messenger

Does this new Windows Live Messenger replace the old Windows Messenger That
came with XP.Does it have the same tools? ie remote assistance etc.

no its still on XP. just two different programs.

Greetings wally,

It doesn't replace it, but it does have all the same functionality, including Remote
Assistance.

However, in order for Remote Assistance to work in Windows Live Messenger, Windows Messenger
has to still be installed.
