How prey tell do you reinstall the dustbin on the desktop (and network
etc...)??? There is no "Tweak UI" available yet...
Not that I need any of these icons, it is just that the user interface (and
control panels) seem to be devoid of any hint as to bringing back the icons.

How do you hide somthing? In plain sight! Vista interface ambiguites...

I never even noticed that feature text, and I have been to "Personalize" a
lot.

If your monitor is sub-par, or just plain old ...
-- my monitor here is c1996 XVGA, 1024x768 @ 60 hz
-- running at 800x600 @ 72 hz does not make the text "Change desktop icons"
any more obvious
.... you simply will not notice the proper text.

NOTE:
There is text just below it "Adjust Font Size (DPI)" with a little secuiry
icon next to it.
This is **very different typepography** from "Change desktop icons".
There is no "Change desktop icons" control panel either.
If you have studied user interface design issues, you will see the problem
immeadatly.

Anyone coulud have missed the text.
I did look in personalize several times looking for the icons fix, but did
not find it.
I have been using MS operating systems since IBM PC DOS 2.0, with my first
windows use in 1996.

Other OS's I have used: AIX LINUX QNX BEOS AmigaDOS ...
Window interfaces non MS / Apple: Open Look, Motif, X Terminals.
