Just because people are not talking about their frustration doesn't mean its

After reading all that I personally would conclude hardware problems, most
likely a defective RAM stick.

I've installed Vista on many machines and while I've run into some problems,
usually with old hardware that the manufacturer refuses to update drivers
for, I've never run into a machine with that much wrong that didn't have
some hardware issue.

How convenient of you.
It is noted that the computer was HP preinstalled with Windows Vista
and it failed to perform properly from the beginning.
However that FACT goes against your blind agenda.
Instead of placing blame where it lies with HP for not providing a
well working system, you blindly blame Microsoft.
It is a HP computer and thus it is up to HP to resolve.
whether it is a bad installation, defective hardware, insufficient
hardware etc.

I may think that as well if I was like you and incapable of using
Windows Vista.
Instead Windows Vista performs well on two older computers of mine.
FACTS you are unable to disprove.

To add to that, you want others to go to a link that will attempt to
install malware on the computer.
Finally we see how you attempt to help others.
You fail with FACTS, so now you lead others to malware.
