Were you getting the message headers for each too? Or just the same effect
that printing the message generated by applying Recombine attachments would
give?
FWIW I don't have a printer and can only test with software printers such as
(in particular) Microsoft XPS Document Writer...
Looks like that would work even without having the Reading pane active.
FWIW it looks like you would need the Reading Pane active in order to use
the Print function otherwise but then it would just be printing the first
selected (currently viewed) message as Michael mentioned.
Oh. Are you printing from an Explorer view of those same files? E.g.
using Windows Search?... (Why does windows search throw away my search just
because I change the folder? ; | )... FWIW the W7 Search Results window
does allow multiple sections but I don't see a Print command on it.
However, I suppose I could drag those files to a printer icon (if I had one
<eg>)...
Ok. So now I have Microsoft XPS Document Writer open. Drag the messages
for this thread to it. Lots of encouraging messages... Nope. Message
(per dragged message): /This file cannot be printed. Please try opening
the file with the correct application and printing from there./
Oh. Those were .nws files. If I had found .eml files Outlook could
have printed them for me. (Outlook inexplicably takes over .eml association
by default.) Perhaps it would do what we are wanting? Can Outlook be made
to take over .nws file association too?
