I finally figured out what to do to make it work. I looked at the windows
account being used on the client PC and created the same account on the PC
that shares the printer. Even set the password the same. Afterward, I
recreated the printer on the cleint PC and this time it didn't ask for an
login ID on the PC that is sharing the printer. Afterward, everything works
as normal. Way back on Win2k I used to configure every PC to boot up into
the Administrator account which also had NO password. Thats why it worked
seemlessly on Win2k but it was also very insecure. Hope you get it to work
also.
