Print spooler problem with SP2 download

I downloaded SP2, and nothing worked. I have uninstalled
it, but my printer wont work at all. I keep getting
Spooler Subsys App nnds to close. Any suggestion.
I have been chatting with MS 3 times now, and no one can
figure it out.

I downloaded SP2 about 2 weeks ago into my XP home version and lost the
abilty to print with my wireless notebook(which I did not update to SP2,
Thank GOD) to my networked printer. I tried several times a few days ago to
reinstall the network printer and managed to get it to work. Then today I
lost it again and could not recover or reinstall the printer. I got the
spooler messege on my laptop and on my daughters laptop(also connected
wireles to the XP Home PC). Initially I thought it was my laptop and after
both laptops connected wirelessly to the desktop XP HOME had the same problem
I realized it was the desktop.

Obviously, Stacey and I are the first 2 people to have this problem. There
are probably thousands scratching their heads out there. I reinstalled the
OEM XP HOME version and seem to be stuck with this problem. The quick
solution would be to reformat the drive.
What can we do to fix this.

I have windows 98 and have been downloading a bunch of updates. My printer
is also not printing. Has this been fixed yet?
