Printer Will Not Work Since Update. How to Uninstall Update?

Installed update on April 25 but just rebooted May 2. Started the day with a
working Laser printer and now cannot print to it. After rebooting,
disconnecting, trying to print from the dos prompt I recalled that I had
recently added software or more specifily had a windows update. Got a copy of
my update history and looks like I updated 8 files. I do not even know which
one is the culpret. Went to Add and Remove Programs and the updates are not
listed! have been in the past! Have already spent more time on this than I
have. Am at work and have many other things todo. Frustrated!! So many pc
extras that do not support XP! My Laser printer, my blackberry the two most
important! Arrrg!

If the updates are not shown in Add/Remove Programs I'm not sure how you
would go about removing them. Are you positive the updates were downloaded
and installed and not just downloaded, waiting to install? Have you
reinstalled the printer?

Let Me Tell You How I Resolved This Problem.
First: I went to the windows update page and got my update history. (yes,
there had been a recent update.)
Second: I purused this forum and read a reply that was something like this:
IF YOU CANNOT SEE YOUR UPDATES IN THE ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS IT IS BECAUSE
YOU DID NOT CHECK THE [SHOW UPDATES] BOX
Third: With my list of most recent updates in hand I deleted the only two
that showed up, of the 8 that had be downloaded!
Fourth: When that did not resolve the issue i.e. my printer still would not
work, I... wait for it...USED THE SYSTEM RESTORE to restore my pc to before
the "windows update"

IT WORKED!!!!!! Do I sound shocked? well I am. System Restore actually
worked. Will wonders never cease.
Thought I would just share this process so others might benifit.

Amazing! Yes, it is a special day when System Restore actually does work as
