Hi

sbs 2003 standard. We have a win 2008 member terminal server off which users
run various apps. Problem is that we are having problems printing to
printers like HP 1022s which are connected to Win XP client PCs. What is the
recommend way to setup printer drivers when users need to print from win
2008 terminal server onto printers connected to win xp clients?

Thanks

Regards

Hi John:

I am guessing that the users are connecting to the TS and trying to print to
a printer that is listed in the TS, but not on their local computer.

In order for remote printing to work reliably, you must have the identical
printer, by name and driver, installed on both systems.

Regarding the HP models you listed, they ring a faint bell has having been
problematic over TS. You might want to do an Internet search for HPxxxx and
Terminal Services.

Lastly, I would rather see you either connect directly to the XP over RWW
and then print, or have a printer either attached directly to the TS, or a
network printer with an IP address for TS printing.
