Hello,
Is there a way to manually force the printer que to clear? I tried clicking
on the printer icon in the system tray and selecting the job, then clicking
cancel. After doing this 4 times in 10 minutes I finally rebooted the PC.
This worked, but I would rather not have to do that again. It is a brand new
cannon pixma printer. Thanks.

Disconnect the printer from the computer usb port :

Step one : Manually clear the print queue

a) Open the printers folder, if necessary.

b) Click the Start (windows) icon.

c) Click Control Panel.

d ) Click Hardware & Sounds.

NOTE: This step is not required when using Classic view in Windows Vista.

e ) Click Printers.

F) Right-click the name of the printer and then click Open.

g) Click Printer and then click Cancel All Documents.

h) Click Yes to confirm the action.

step - 2
---------- -----------------

a) Click the Start () icon.

b) Click Control Panel.

c) Click System and Maintenance.

NOTE: This step is not required when using Classic view in Windows Vista.

d) Click Administrative Tools.

f) Double-click Services.

g ) On the User Account Control window, click Continue.

h) Click Print Spooler.

i) Click Stop to stop the Print Spooler.

j) Click Start to restart the Print Spooler.

K Click OK.
