Printers not showing in Control Panel

I want to change the properties of a printer attached my computer but when I
click on Control Panel>Printers, Explorer opens with Printers highlighted in
the left pane but nothing appears in the right pane. There are 4 printers
on this machine and I can print to all of them but can't see them in Control
Panel!

Any idea what's causing this and how to correct it?
