I use WLM for my email in business and today had 10 pages of one email to
print. First time I ever had this many pages for one customer. Anyway after
it printed the vertical sidelines on the left that is added each time a
reply is sent is printed as expected, however by the time I reached page 5
the sideline volume had increased a lot and started to block out some of the
content. Hope I explained that properly

Question is how to stop that from printing. Couldn't find anything in
printer settings or WLM to prevent it. Maybe I am asking too much

Any tips and or advice appreciated

Thanks

Bill

Two suggestions:

1. When you print, don't print all of the email but only the first page or
two.

2. Install a third party utility such as fineprint (www.fineprint.com) which
lets you preview what you are sending to the printer so you can delete pages
from your printout if you wish before it gets to the printer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Brian. What I actually did was print to PDF first to view the
results. Every page had these lines down the side and I had to print all 10
for an audit trail.

I will check out fineprint and see if that may help

Thanks again

After reading the fineprint features it occurred to me to copy the entire
email thread and paste it into MS word. It did not carry over the lines on
the side and the thread looked perfect for printing, so I will use that
method going forward.

Thanks again Brian and I like your web. Impressive !

If you need all 10 pages for your audit trail then fineprint may not help -
or at least won't help much. As well as letting you preview pages it does
allow you to print 2, 4 or 8 up which might save on paper but won't help
with the level of indent.

Thanks.

Yes, if you need the full email for an audit trail then neither of my
suggestions will help. Your MS-Word solution might be the best approach.

The vertical lines from duplicate replies(left hand side) are indicative of
message composed/replied in Html.
If graphics are not present(or not necessary), configure WLM to view the
messages in plain text, then print.
Optionally, but most likely not always practical(or possible with
customers) request that the sender use plain text or attach the
correspondence as a doc or txt file.

Fyi...WLM, like Outlook Express and Vista's Windows Mail(Msft previous free
programs) hands off printing to IE.
