Hi Guys,

I have a customer who is printing a small file, 600kb pdf. It's a network
plan, lots of lines etc. Once the file gets to the print queue however, it's
a 9mb file and takes around 5 minutes to process.

Any idea what is causing this?

Thanks,

PDF is a very compact format. 600mb is actually a very sizable PDF
file for that reason. It's possibly being converted to Postscript or
a rasterized language by the printer driver and growing because of it.

In other words, it's probably "normal".

You could try to Print to File and compare size of the out file - it would
contain everything (including control characters).
