yes, they are just still offline. I had that problem this morning. I had a
contact message me and her status just said away but on my messenger she was
offline to me until I signed out and then back in. this seemed to start a
while back when I had a problem just getting signed in and I got program not
responding. shortly after that I think I had a corruption error somewhere.
anyway, no matter how many times I have started over for different reasons it
still acts like that when I first open it sometimes. it will show as signed
in on the taskbar, but takes a while for the contact list to come up. and
that is where I have the problem a lot of times. the contacts are there and
yet they aren't....
