Problem accessing DFS shares

Hello,

We installed security patch kb958644 on servers and PCs over the last
week-end and we had some problems accessing dfs shares. We did a lot of
testing before coming to the conclusion that installing the patch on the
servers that run the DFS service was not a good idea. They are all DCs by
the way. So we removed the patch and everything is fine since then. We did
not find anything helpful in the event log. Any idea?

Could you tell me what error you were getting when the patch was installed?
Was this in the clients trying to access the namespace or in the server
itself?
