Hello,
I can't seem to be able to convert Pocket word files
(created on my pocket PC). When I synchronise (or try to
copy the file in exporer to my desktop PC, with the file
conversion options set in Activesync) I get the following
error:
Cannot Convert File "xxx"
The File converter is unable to load the converter
required to generate the format of the output file. The
name of the converter file is "gobledygookgobldegook" and
was referenced in the "Software\Microsoft\Windows CE
Services\Filters\PWordData\Wxport" Registry key.
Bizarely if I create a file in Word 2000 on my desktop and
save it there as a .psw file and then copy it across and
back again it works fine, but not at all for pocket word
files created on the Pocket PC. If I save the file as a
word 97/2000 file on the Pocket PC it also works fine. It
also synchronises fine if I untick the "Convert files"
option in ActiveSync.
I am using the latest version of activesync (3.7.1) I have
also tried this at my home PC which is running Windows XP
and Office XP - same problem. My Pocket PC is an Orange
SPV M1000, with an Intel PXA 263 at 400MHz with 128MB ram
running Microsoft Pocket PC Version 4.20.0 Build 13252
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
