Problem with ActiveX creating object on IE 7 in Vista

I'm trying to run a program and I receive the following error message:

Document: Error 429 (ActiveX component can't create object) in IE7 on Vista

Answer: Error: "424 Object required"


Can anyone suggest a fix?

Sounds like the program uses ActiveX and the needed file isn't on the machine.
What version of Vista?
If business or above, install the ActiveX installer service and then set it to enabled in services.
Then try to run your program.

Vista version is Home Premium and there is no ActiveX installer.
