problem caused usb to serial cable radio shack

I was using windows xp , now i chenged to vista,,,but ,,,have aproblem usb
serial cable radio shack is not working on vista bit-32....any sugeston?

It's very likely that there is no problem with the cable or the serial port.
It's probably the need for a better driver for the device that is using the
serial port.. A driver that is compatible with Vista.

what protocol is it using to connect (you may need to enable telnet)

Did you install the Vista drivers for the cable. It won't work by itself.
