I suddenly started having this error message with WLM this week and I have
made no changes to my system. "there was a problem sending the command to
the program" This happens on any link in any email, whether its a simple
text email or flash-rich type.

I'm running Win 7 Pro 64-bit. Auto-updates are on, windows Firewall is on
(I tried turning it off, but no effect on the problem). I do not have
ZoneAlarm installed.

That typically indicates a problem with your default browser not being
properly registered

Are you using IE8 or another browser?

In the browser, select the setting to make it default browser and
restart it.

Also in control Panel, use Set Program Access and Computer defaults to
reset your default browser. In Vista it's under Control Panel,
Programs, Default Programs. I'm guessing Win7 is similar.

Thanks. That did it. Should've figured that one on my own, but it was a
long day. FYI I was using Firefox as my default and IE8 as a backup. I
suppose this error could have occured when Firefox updated recently...
