Hello,

I need to create an MS-DOS Startup Disk in order to update my mobo BIOS. I
right-clicked on the floppy drive and clicked 'Format' then checked 'Create
MS-DOS Startup Disk' and then formatted it. A box popped up saying 'Format
Complete', but when I tried to view the files on the disk I got an error
saying the disk needs to be formatted. Any ideas?

The odds are quite good that the floppy diskette is defective. Quality
control in floppy diskette manufacture has been getting worse with the
passing years. Repeat with another floppy diskette, preferably of high
quality, recently purchased and unused.

Try running CHKDSK on the floppy first, to look for bad sectors:

C:\>chkdsk a: /f /r

Chkdsk will attept to mark bad sectors in the FAT. Then when he disk is
formatted, the bad sectors will be skipped over. But if the floppy reports
many errors, you'll want to get a fresh floppy disk.

Hope it helps,
