Problem with custom rather than express option....

When using Update, it appears to work correctly for the express option, ie it
trawls away with the progress bar moving and after an obscene length of time
reports no updates to download however if I click on Custom then the progress
bar space appears but no green appears in it and nothing appears to happen.
Does anyone have any ideas ??

re-register the following:-
Click Start > Run
Type: net.exe stop wuauserv
Press OK
Repeat the above steps for the following:
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
net.exe start wuauserv

Try the WU site again.
