I just installed SP3 2 days ago.

When I reboot the system, I get the following error (blue screen):
STOP: 0x000000FC (0xF7A118E8, 0x06B2E963, 0xF7A11848, 0x00000001)

It seems that I cannot afford neither to Boot in safe mode nor boot in
"last known good configuration"

I do not know what to do.

My computer is a Dell Dimension 5150

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/878474 (ignore the title)

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for
Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3), until 14 Apr-09. Chat and
e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada. Go to
http://support.microsoft.com/oas/def...spx?gprid=1173 | select "Windows
XP" then select "Windows XP Service Pack 3"

Possible but highly unlikely. The forum thread does suggest a solution to the
OP's problem though.
