Problem Downloading Update KB913446

I am recieving a Failed! error when trying to download/install the following
update from Microsoft Update:

Security Update for Windows XP (KB913446)

I have tried clearing my browser cache, but this did not seem to make any
difference. I have installed all other updates, so I do not know of anything
that I need to install before installing this update, and I keep my
VirusScan software up-to-date. Is there somewhere else I can go to manually
install the update? Could something else be causing the problem? Thanks.

I would hardly call, having to go download and install another browser just
to be able to download the KB913446 update as "the fix".

Can't wait to find out what the geniuses at MS have to say about this. I
even did a repair on my operating system, thinking that something was wrong
with it. Turns out, it's not my computer, it's the update. The update is a
piece of garbage.

Hi Nathan,

If it's failing with error code 0x80242006, that seems to be a common
failure for a lot of people, myself included.
D/load the update from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS06-007.mspx
Under "Affected Software", choose the download for the appropriate operating
system. Once d/loaded, install the update.
