Problem with folders on DeskTop

Hi All,

I created several folders on the Desktop where I placed several Medium
Icons - each icon calls a different application. Also I made sure when I
open several folders like those, they should be opened in the same position,
so basically several folders could be opened exactly one on top of the
other. The problem is that from to time I loose that position when I open
them up and the Icons are basically shown as details. I also made sure that
the Auto Arrange is un checked.

I had a similar problem in Windows XP and someone created a tool that fixed
the registry and then it worked great. How do you fix that problem in Vista
Ultimate 64 bits?

Thanks,

Eric
