When I try to get the updates, my computer 1) checks for updates 2)Brings me
to the Welcome to windows update screen.......I select "EXPRESS" for the
updates and I finally get a error that says:
" The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. "

Can anyone suggest what the issue may be?

Is there a specific error code?

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];830086
"Windows Update has encountered an error cannot display the requested page" error
message - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP1

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;883614
You receive a "Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the
requested page" error message when you try to install an update

You receive Initialization error 0x80072F78 while the Windows Update Web site is
loading
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836985

The aim of this article is to help you solve this 0x800A138F problem and have you
updating your Windows XP Professional or Home Edition computer as soon as possible!

After a long call with the support, i got the described hotfix, but it
doesn't fix my problem.

Upss... sorry for double posting. MS said, service temporarily unavailable.

Related to your link for the Update Engine...
It doesn't help either.
I still have the same problem.

Win2000, clean installation, deployed SP4 on it.
After rebooting, Update said, it has to install the newer Update Engine.
That was done ok, following by another reboot.
When trying to get the next few security fixes, error 0x8007000B occurs on
the MS website and i can't go on with updates.

So far to the history.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot for help in advance!
