I have Vistra Home Pre, I have tried to install Adobe pro8, every time i get
the following message from windows installer. " The temp foler is on a drive
that is full or is inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verfy that you
have write permission on the temp folers."
I have tried running useing Administrator, and giving the temp drive
premission, my free space s 104gb. any ideas please, before i throw the pc
out of the window and go back to XP.

Regards

Issue:

When you install Adobe Reader 8 on Windows Vista you see
the error message, "The Temp folder is on a drive that is full or is
inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify that you have
write permission on the Temp folder."

Reason:

You have turned off User Account Control or you are logged
in using the default administrator account.

Solution:
1. In Control Panels, choose User Accounts.
2. Click "Turn User Account Control on or off".
3. Check the box to "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" and then click OK.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Install Adobe Reader 8.

Reference:

Error, "The Temp folder is on a drive that is full..." when installing Acrobat 8 trial or Adobe Reader 8 (Windows Vista)

No. The UAC is not the problem.

Leave it off if you already have it off. That is recomended.

You should be installing Acrobat 8 from a DVD. I always make sure I
have taken full ownership and control over all the volumes within my
systems before installing large programs it eliminates errors such as
these.

Try taking ownership of your volumes. Be sure UAC is disabled. And make
sure your have full control.

After that you should be fine.
