I have the same symptoms that Michael gets .. after I enter the product key
and press next it says it cannot open the windows image file. I created the
dvd using Roxio, not Nero and did not get the block size error that Michael
got. I am installing (or trying to install) Vista on to a clean Maxtor 100
GB drive, booting from the DVD. The primary drive is a Maxtor 120 running XP
Pro.
I also thought that maybe I had a bad download copy, so I have downloaded it
3 times. Each time the final file comes out to just over 2 GB when the
initial download says it will be over 3 GB. How big are your files?
(English, 32 bit).
Additionally, I tried to use the download manager and it errors at the
beginning saying it cannot handle a file of that size. I ended up just doing
a straight download (for over 4 hrs on DSL)
Any insight here?
