Hello,
I've just changed my PC after my old one had a HDD melt down.
On my old PC I had been playing Halo 2 with out any problems.
But I cannot install halo on my new computer. Every time I try
I get a message that pops saying I have proplem with
"redist\vcredist.msi:' can anyone help me?

Windows Vista Ultimate
AMD Athlon 64X2 6000+
2gbRam 800
nVidia GeForce 8800GTX

A .MSI file is bascially a Microsoft Installer file, browse the Halo 2 DVD
in the Redist folder, see if you can find the vcredist.msi file, right click
on it and run as admin.

Try installing again.

Alright, I've tried going to the root of the problem here. Th
redists/vcredist.msi file claims to need the Windows Visual c+
Distributable Disk to continue. I previously had no knowledge of such
disk, and I know for sure I don't have said disk. I've tried running th
setup as an admin, and I can't find the "run as admin" when I righ
click this file. I just got this game yesterday, and so far I'v
installed the Vista service pack 2 and I've done everything I coul
possibly think of. Now I'm stuck

Alright, I've gone through all the important updates and I've downloade
the cleaner. I'm still getting the same exact message. User cancelle
installation might be the key words here
