I am having having problem installing update KB886903.

Errorcode: 0x05

I didn't apply line 5 why?
Couldn't install Run dotnet.exe for a fresh new .net install.
Without line 5 all went well
copy of line 5:
5. Go to the start menu, then run. Type in "msconfig" and set it to
Diagnostic and then reboot to prevent other software from getting in the way
of the install.
